How to travel anytime, anywhere.

March 2, 2009

Well folks, I just got back from an amazing journey. And guess what? I didn’t even leave this somewhat comfortable chair I’m sitting in right now.

Basically what I just finished doing is watching Mike “Lion King” Daniel’s trip on the American Discovery Trail. He posted a lot of videos on YouTube from his journey. These 5 minute or so videos give you the feeling that you are walking right along side him. They are especially interesting to me because I am going to hike on the ADT starting in May.

The point I am trying to get at with this post is that if you are feeling the travel bug, need something to lift your spirits, or you just want to experience something wicked cool without having to put in any effort, YouTube travel (yes, I just coined a term I think) is a great option.

I haven’t taken much of a look around but I bet there are many more travelers who have posted up videos of their adventures. You can do some virtual traveling on Flickr too as there are tons of images that are just waiting for your eyes.

Just a thought for today. You can check out Lion King’s trip starting with this video…

the growth of this site depends on you, please share it. get free updates when I post again by rss or by email.
